She had always been very concerned about the issues facing the local animal population, but it was not until after receiving her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology in 1993 from the University of Hawaii at Manoa that she found her true calling in veterinary medicine. Returning to Guam for a summer visit in 1994, she brought a niece's very sick puppy to Marianas Vet Care and was overwhelmingly relieved to find compassionate comprehensive care available there for even so small a creature. Dr. Oshiro received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University in 2000 and has nine years of clinical experience with small animals. In addition to being licensed to practice veterinary medicine on Guam, she is also currently licensed in the states of Washington and Hawaii as well.
